Microsoft Intellipoint Mac Not Working
Oct 05, 2015 Hello and help. Now that I have upgraded to MAC OS X 10.11 (El Capitan), my Intellipoint mouse software doesn't work as expected. Microsoft outlook 365 mac will not accept password windows 10. Specifically, I changed the left button to be single-click instead of one click and it won't work; I still have to manually double click the left button. Neither do other mouse buttons to which I've assigned a function. If you are using a Microsoft Touch mouse and a legacy mouse on the same computer: Swapping left/right buttons on a legacy mouse will not work correctly if a Microsoft Touch mouse is plugged into your computer at the same time. Unplug the Touch mouse and try swapping buttons on the legacy mouse again. Final version of the Microsoft IntelliPoint drivers for their mices was released both for Windows and Mac OS X in late 2011, and was succeeded by Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center. This single package managed to combine drivers and tools of both IntelliType and IntelliPoint.
Intelli Point is a freeware and works on computers running Windows 2003, Vista, XP and Windows7. Driver package supports all mice that were made or supported by Microsoft with their brand name, which includes those that had both PS/2 and USB connectors. Please note that PS/2 drivers are available only up to version 7.1. Version 8 and above dropped the PS/2 support and are focused only on USB ones.

Oct 01, 2001 The extra buttons on the side don't work at all. In OS 10.0.4, the scroll wheel only works in Cocoa applications and some Carbon applications (eg Internet Explorer, but not the Finder), and doesn't work in Classic applications at all. People have reported that under 10.1, the scroll wheel works in far more applications, including the Finder.
Software features may only be available with certain mice models. (Button options are specific to the selected model.) On Mac OS X 10.4-10.7.x, IntelliPoint features can be accessed by opening Microsoft Mouse in System Preferences.[2]
Depending on the software version and specific mouse product, users can define mouse buttons to run any executable program or file they desire (or a control key + letter combination) and can even define buttons for different functions in chosen programs.
With IntelliPoint 4, users were able to specify mouse wheel behavior to scroll one screen at a time. This feature was useful in situations where the user had to work with windows of varying size and a fixed scroll rate alternated from being too fast or too slow depending on each window. This feature was incorporated into the Windows XP operating system[3] and removed in IntelliPoint 5.[citation needed] The 'Alt+Tab' button combination was also replaced with 'Next Window,' effectively preventing users from alternating between specific programs, and instead having to cycle through one by one (although this can be hacked back in the registry[4]).
Scrolling[edit]
Universal Scrolling is a software function within IntelliPoint that allows a scroll wheel to work with programs that do not natively support that method of input. If a program supports scroll wheels natively, the Universal Scrolling feature will generally not interfere with the native implementation.
Supported mice[edit]
IntelliPoint supports all known Microsoft mice, as well as generic 3/5-button mice.
Note: Version 8.0 and above dropped PS/2 support for the following list. As even adapters cannot assist, Microsoft keeps version 7.1 as an offered download for users who still own mice with PS/2 connectors (instead of USB).[5]
